A LITTLE SECRET YOUR DENTIST DOESN’T WHAT YOU TO KNOW

Tannic acid, the bitter compound found in coffee and all other forms of tea creates a yellow and brown stains in your teeth when combined with other particles. This makes the dentist specializing in the cosmetic industry happy since you are making them wealthy!

It’s now a multi-million dollar industry, from bleaching to toothpaste to laser kits that offers to whitens your teeth. If you’re teeth doesn’t respond or so damaged already, they can offer a treatment called bonding. Bonding is a process where each tooth is wrapped with a thin layer of resin. The resin gets its natural looking brightness from the finely ground quarts. Sometimes the resin is removed, baked, and cemented back to the tooth. Bonding can last up to eight years but the resin is prone to chipping and will stain just as your normal teeth.coffeecup.png The procedure requires for only one visit, but the cost could reach as high as $500 per tooth.

Another option would be porcelain veneers. This is done for the badly stained or chipped teeth. Each tooth is etched to the surface and a thin piece of porcelain is glued. Charges would reach as high as $900 per tooth.

The third option would be microbrasion where the dentist grinds a thin layer off the surface of your teeth. This procedure works for defective enamel cause by fluorosis (this is caused by too much consumption of fluoride during the development stage of your teeth). The surface spots are removed, exposing a smooth layer of enamel. The cost is up to $150 per tooth.

All those procedure will not last if you can’t keep consuming coffee and tea. Imagine spending all of your money and then do it again? Goodbye to those pearly white teeth!

If you’re really into coffee craving, why not drink soyfee soy coffee? It contains no tannic acid which does not caused yellow stains on your teeth. Everybody loves a beautiful smile and you know you feel confident about it.
